WWE and Mark Henry: Top 5 Reasons Internet Fans Dislike Him
I hate to admit something to all you fine readers out there—being the driver of the "Mark Henry bandwagon" has not been easy.
It really hasn't. Some people just will never budge on one's opinion. Call it stubborn. Call in ignorant. Call it cocky. Call it firm. Call it confidence.
Call it what you will, but the only question I have is, "Why?"
Today, I am going to look at the five reason I think some Internet fans will just never accept the greatness of Mark Henry and enjoy his recent push.
5. His Size/Slow Matches
1 of 5My favorite argument against Henry is "Well, he is big and can't do much..."
Yeah, and your point is? Of course, he is huge! That is Mark Henry and what makes him worth having on the roster for the past decade in a half.
If you are expecting him to be be Shawn Michaels, then I am sorry; you just don't "get it". It makes no sense—his size is his benefit, not his detriment.
4. He Was "Kool-Aid Man"
2 of 5Yes, he played face for awhile. Yes, he wore red. Yes, he is a giant man.
I think a lot of folks are still grasping onto him being the "Kool-Aid Man" and won't accept he has moved on from that. It was just a couple months of wearing red, and it was actually a decent face run.
Time to move on perhaps? Oh yeah!
3. Injuries
3 of 5Mark has a long history of being injury-proned. I am not going to deny it, he does. Every push he gets, it seems to stop suddenly due to getting himself hurt.
Again, that is all in the past. Unless I missed something, he looks (dropped a ton of weight) to be in amazing shape and has not been injured in how long now?
Exactly. Him getting injured is of no concern to me.
2. We Have Been Here Before...
4 of 5Let's face it—Mark Henry has been pushed to the moon before. Multiple times.
It just has never worked out well. Again, I can admit it, who lots of people are probably wondering what makes this time any more different than the first 10 pushes.
Well, very easy—this one is getting over. This one is working, and working to perfection. As I see, this is his best work of his career, and it is hard to deny that.
1. He Is the Proud Father of a Hand
5 of 5This is another case of people just needing to move on from the past.
The target audience of WWE these days is PG, and they were not even alive for this happening, much less others not in the IWC.
Yes, this was absolutely ridiculous in every single sense of the word, but it happened. Over 10 years ago!
Just as some people will never accept The Miz because of his Real World past, some will never accept Mark Henry in 2011 because of this storyline with Mae Young.
Time to move on folks...give Mark Henry his due!
