WWE Rumors: WWE To Sign Beer Money, Briscoes and Kings of Wrestling?

Justin WatryJun 6, 2018

Let me put up a disclaimer first:

1. I am the last person you will ever see "fantasy booking." Do not even get me started on the concept.

2. No, WWE will never have a truly amazing tag division again. Get real folks!

Now to the rumor.

First, let's start with the easiest one: Kings of Wrestling.

It has been no secret that they are all but signed up to join WWE soon, and as the report said, they would be a tag team, not single stars (yet...). To me, and I have touched on this many times, but Punk is doing a great job in the back right now, and I am not crediting KofW for him being hired.

What I am doing is saying that Punk is going to watch their back, when/if they come to WWE.

Next is a long shot, but Beer Money is currently the TNA tag team champions (well...yeah). I would assume they are under contract for the time being, but if you look closely, I would say their days as a tag team are coming to an end, likely by Bound for Glory.

What does that mean for a possible WWE debut in the near (or distant) future? Not much. It just tells me that Beer Money has been played out in TNA, and both guys need a fresh start. Roode has a ton more upside than Storm, but both guys are talented and could become big stars one day.

Sadly, TNA cannot make a star. Never have. Never will. In order for Roode or Storm to truly maximize their potential, a jump to WWE would be in order. Odds of happening? Plenty low, but hey—the rumor is out there...

Last and certainly least—the Briscoes. From the few matches/interviews I have seen from them, all I can think of "meh." I see nothing. Sorry, being "stiff" in ROH is not pro wrestling to me. Kicking a guy as hard as you can and just about killing your opponents belongs in a backyard, not the main stage.

I believe it was Bret Hart (fan, not a big fan) who said that the best wrestlers are the ones who never hurt each other. That is true—being "stiff" and punching a guy's face in is not an art form. It is garbage.

These two would have to get a total overhaul and/or gimmick change because what I see—it is not even worth the hassle.

Now, tell me: Is it a rumor to go crazy over, one to brush aside or is there something actually going on here? Maybe Triple H knows what he is doing after all...leave a comment below and let me know!
