40 Wildest Moments in Sports

Buckle up. You're about to experience the 40 wildest moments in sports history.

Now, what makes a moment wild, you ask?

I had five criteria that I followed to construct this list:

* Anything that makes you react out loud or with a wince.

* Anything unnecessary that most likely involves violence.

* Anything that involves an animal.

* Anything that you can't turn away from, even if it's a train wreck of a moment.

* Anything that made you call, text or email your friends, and say..."you gotta see this."

It's important to understand that there may have been people injured in some of these instances, but I'm not trying to make light of the situations. That being said, I don't want you to leave here crying, so I'll try to add some comic relief.

As a sign of good faith, I have given you a soundtrack to play underneath the slideshow. Feel free to click the link, find a way to put it on repeat, minimize it and utilize it as a score to the bedlam. It really adds to the moment. Trust me, I tried it.

40. Killer Bird

This may not have any connection to wild, except for the fact that the mascot is a bird.

I can’t think of a better way to start this off though!

This had me rolling around on the floor and laughing my head off!

This takes fandom to a whole new level.

What is even wilder is the fact that there are actually people at an Arena Football game!

38. Fight Club

This is pure amazing.

And yes, I categorize this as a wild sport moment.

Perhaps only so I could get this on here, but hey, I make the rules on this slideshow, okay?!

37. Not One...Not Two...

The Miami Heat celebrating like they just won the all-time galactic championship before they even won a game was a little bit immature.

It was a wild party though.

36. Snowball Fight

Leave it to Philly fans to decide it’s a good idea to start a massive snowball fight in an NFL arena.

That being said, it does look like a ton of fun!

35. Just Warming Up

In order to prepare you for what is to come, I've put a soccer riot rather early on the list.

This was L.A. after the Galaxy lost a game.

I'm just kidding, but seriously, people take soccer very seriously outside of the U.S....

34. One Strong Blount

Honestly, even though this was highly illegal and somewhat immoral, I became a fan of LeGarrette Blount after this.

This is a wild sucker punch to the ultimate degree.

This is an all-time great sports moment!

And then I was thinking, “I’m going to puke.”

Whatever way you look at it, this is wild.

This is no doubt one of the wildest moments that I have ever seen.

I remember watching this live and just being shocked at the sight of Ron Artest playing fight club in the stands.

It's horribly mesmerizing.
