For the record, I am torn on this, should it come true. According to the new WWE Magazine, with Vengeance coming up in October, seeds may have been planted for "The Deadman" to make an appearance. WOW! That one came out of left field.
It may sound shocking to hear of 'Taker being ready to return so soon, but it really shouldn't be. He seems to always take a break after WrestleMania in recent years. Then return around SummerSlam for a short run, before leaving again, then returning AGAIN right before WrestleMania.
Look no further than last year for an example. With this year, I see the same. WWE will give him a match or two, almost as a "test run" before making it to 'Mania, which is the main goal.
Of course, tons of rumors have followed 'Taker, even while he has been gone. One being him heading up FCW, the farm system of training WWE young talent. Another is that his wife will be a trainer on the next season of Tough Enough.
The next one revolves around this weird photo surfacing of an apparent BALD Undertaker. I thought for sure it was Photoshopped, but most seem to think it is real and will lead to some sort of gimmick change for Big Evil...I don't know?
With all of this swirling around and his name being linked to RAW during this year's draft (never happened), I would suspect 'Taker having a few more matches left in the tank, before finishing up 20-0 at WrestleMania next year.
Why not have a brief fall run? WWE RAW ratings have been all over the place ('Taker would be back on RAW, do not kid yourself; he always does this, draft or not) and with Monday Night Football coming, I see the logic in this.
Also, WWE knows they are low on main-event talent right now, tons of mid-card, upper mid-carders, but true top main-event legends, they are low. No doubt about it.
The only question left is: Should he return, who does he face?
