Amazing Golf Video: The 18 Most Incredible Chip-Ins on YouTube
Chip ins are a great thing.
This is because although requiring skill, virtually anyone can get one.
They are best when caught on tape, because sometimes, as seen on this slideshow, they become infamous.
Some videos are from pros, others from amateurs and a few are from hacks.
But all should be memorable.
Here is the list of 18 of some of the best chip ins you will ever see on YouTube.
Please feel free to comment about what you thought, and maybe send me some links to other great shots, I would love to see some more.
Into the Beer Mug
1 of 18It may not go into the hole, but it lands in a beer mug. Clutch!
Not only was the shot incredible, but it caught the attention of one of the Coors Light caddy's—which is most important.
Into the Beer Mug 2
2 of 18This shot was featured on Jay Leno, so you know it's legit.
This ball also finds the bottom of a beer cup.
It's nice to see that college kids are able to mix golf and drinking games together. It brings a tear to my eye.
Jose Maria Olazabal
3 of 18The shot itself is not spectacular, but the dance Jose Maria Olazabal does after the ball finds the cup is just classic.
Tom Watson
4 of 18This is one of the all time great chip shots in history.
On the 17th hole of the final round at the 1982 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, Tom Watson's ball finds the long fescue just left of the flag.
Everyone thinks he is dead and his dreams of winning the Open are dashed, but Tom proves them wrong. He holes the chip and goes on to win the tournament.
Anthony Kim
5 of 18This flop shot by Anthony Kim at the 2008 Chevron World Challenge is spectacular.
It was good enough to earn him shot of the day honours, but more importantly, a spot on this list.
Mini Putt
6 of 18This is great.
Not only does this guy look like a he doesn't know what he's doing, but he actually produces one of the best bunker shots I've ever seen...even if it is in mini putt.

"It's a Ghost Ball!"
Tiger Woods
7 of 18Whenever it seems like Tiger is out of it, he produces something spectacular.
Unlike anyone else on the planet, Tiger has the ability to make shots look simple when they are near impossible.
This is his first of four videos on the list, so get used to seeing Tiger.
Briny Baird
8 of 18This ball may not find the hole, but it is no doubt spectacular.
Briny Baird hits a shot from the top of a skyscraper and lands the ball within 15 feet of the target flag, which was in the middle of a baseball field.
Just amazing!
Stewart Cink
9 of 18All the shots in this video are impressive. However, Stewart Cink's chip at 0:22 is amazing.
Cink chips from the rocks that circle the pond...and the ball finds the cup.
This is one of those rare videos that are just something else.
Michael Jordan
10 of 18Basketball legend Michael Jordan is an all around great athlete.
In this video, a young Jordan tries his hand at golf—and holes out from the bunker. He made it look easy.
Luke Donald
11 of 18At the 2011 Masters, Luke Donald closed off his tournament in unbelievable fashion.
His drive found the rough right next to a bunker, giving Donald a very awkward stance. He then hit the pin on his approach, and the ball would end up just off the green—where he would chip in for birdie.
Bad Break-Great Shot-Bad Break-Great Shot-Birdie. Gotta Love it!
Larry Mize
12 of 18On the second playoff hole at the 1987 Masters, Larry Mize chipped in from well off the green to take the green jacket over Greg Norman.
Sadly, this great shot is only the second most clutch Masters chip on the list.
Phil Mickelson
13 of 18Back-to-Back chip ins to close out a round of 65.
Not much is better.
Tiger 2
14 of 18This is another video showing that when Tiger needs to make an impossible shot, he does.
Tiger needed an eagle on the last hole to force a playoff at the 2001 World Cup.
Did you expect anything different?
Phil Mickelson 2
15 of 18This chip was so good, an opposing caddy could only bow at Mickelson's greatness.
Tiger...again
16 of 18The 2008 US Open was arguably the crowning moment thus far in Tiger's career.
On virtually one leg, Tiger won a 91 hole marathon against Rocco Mediate.
This chip basically sums up how the third round went.
Magical!
Phil Mickelson 3
17 of 18The green covered in hail, all players pulled off the course, Phil did not want to go just yet.
He wanted to show the crowd what tricks he had up his sleeve.
Phil gave the fans their money's worth, and chipped in on the hail covered green.
Te Greatest Chip You Will Ever See
18 of 18Tiger Woods must have used a spell on that ball at the 2005 Masters, in what is and will always be the greatest Nike commercial ever.
The ball stays on the lip for just long enough for everyone to see that he plays Nike, and then falls in perfect fashion.
Just Brilliant!
