Novak Djokovic Video: Watch Djokovic Savor Wimbledon Win

Novak Djokovic had just won his first Wimbledon Championship, unseating the great Rafael Nadal in the process.

Djokovic bent down and swiped a piece of grass from the historic All England Club and stuck it in his mouth. It looks like he ended up eating the shred to ensure a piece of this historic day will always be with him.

Maybe Djokovic just started a new tradition. They drink milk at the Indy 500, they give you a green jacket after winning the Masters and every player takes a drink out of the Stanley Cup, but tennis doesn't really have anything unique.

Considering the grass is legendary at the All England Club, why not have the winner chew just a tiny piece to symbolize victory. Players can say they are just focused on putting that shred of grass in their mouths.

Not only is he now the No. 1 player in the world, but he may be a trendsetter as well.

He started off the season winning the Australian Open and was almost unstoppable before scuffling a bit at the French Open. Now Djokovic has snapped Nadal's 20-match win streak at Wimbledon and has captured two of the first three major championships in 2011.

He will also be ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the ATP on Monday, once again upending Nadal.

His family jumped up and down in a frenzy as soon as the win was official. They were overcome with the extreme joy that makes sports so great.
