Ottmar Hitzfeld: Jose Mourinho Is 'Arrogant' as Real Madrid Manager

Ottmar Hitzfeld (coach of the Swiss national football team) has called Jose Mourinho: "arrogant," "haughty"  and "boorish," and states that his tactics are "really shameful." Hitzfeld also states that "Barca should make him pay on the pitch."

Hitzfeld elaborated further in his comments by talking about his encounters with Mourinho at the UEFA meetings. He commented about Mourinho "chewing gum" during the meetings.

Hitzfeld went ahead and lamented the presence of Mourinho at Real Madrid. The comments come at a time when Real Madrid face FC Barcelona on the second leg of the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have had their protests about referee decisions rejected by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary body. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have yet to appeal the decision made by UEFA.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are expected to face each other in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League to be held on May 3, 2011. The match will be held at the Camp Nou Stadium at Barcelona.

According to the magazine Bild, Real Madrid are almost closing in on a deal to sign Nuri Sahin (the midfielder from Borussia Dortmund). Sahin is one of the main targets for Real Madrid during the summer.

It appears that Borussia Dortmund is holding onto Sahin in the hope of extracting more money from Real Madrid for a deal. It remains to be seen what will transpire with the second leg of the UEFA Champions League and Nuri Sahin.
