WWE Draft 2011: Five Superstars That Need to Be Drafted
Two days from now on Monday Night Raw, the WWE Draft will make its return. This is an exciting time in the WWE Universe every year and so far this year is no exception.
The draft is a time where any superstar can be drafted to either Raw or Smackdown. Some superstars want to stay on their current brand while others want to be drafted. The five superstars on this slideshow NEED to be drafted whether they want to be or not.
These five superstars have either run out of things to do on their show, become stale/boring or they are ready for a push towards better things.
This list does not necessarily give my draft predictions, I have already made a slideshow with my picks. This slideshow gives the superstars who I think need a change the most.
Daniel Bryan
1 of 6
Daniel Bryan has gone from the United States Champion to an afterthought. When Sheamus defeated Bryan for the U.S. Title, I did not think that it would have that much impact on Bryan and his status. Well Bleachers, I was wrong.
For whatever reason, Bryan has nothing left to do on Raw. He has tried everything—from challenging Sheamus to multiple rematches and being a member of APPLE—Bryan needs to be drafted to Smackdown so he can have something to do. Bryan could challenge Wade Barrett for his Intercontinental Championship and get back on track. If Bryan does not get drafted then I do not know what he will be able to do on Raw in his current state.
Daniel Bryan has not won on TV since March 7th when he defeated Sheamus via countout. Something needs to change for Daniel Bryan.
Kofi Kingston
2 of 6
Kofi Kingston needs to be drafted to Raw so he can begin a new phase of his career. Currently, the WWE puts Kofi over with bright colors and a good guy gimmick. They make it seem like he is from Jamaica (even though we all know he is from West Africa). Kingston's face gimmick has not elevated him to the main event status that we are all waiting for. This is the reason that he needs to be moved to Raw so he can begin a heel gimmick.
Kingston gets drafted to Raw and slowly transitions into a heel superstar. Put him in a feud with a face superstar who is already over with the fans and see where he goes. Simply changing the brand Kingston is on is not enough to save his career. If Kofi has any hope of making it to the top then he needs a heel turn. He has been the good guy since his debut in ECW back in 2008, the WWE Draft is the perfect time to change that.
Zack Ryder
3 of 6
What can be said about Zack Ryder. He has gained a large fan base since the beginning of the year. Many people have fallen in love with him and have been calling for him to receive a push in the WWE. If Ryder wants to become something great then he needs to go to Smackdown where he has a chance to compete at least twice a month. On Raw he is never on TV and has no time to showcase his skills. Move the man to Smackdown so he can do something.
Earlier this week it was discovered that the WWE was removing all Zack Ryder signs from the audience. Why they are doing this I do not know. Perhaps the WWE directors do not want Zack Ryder to become anything great. I suspect one of two things will happen with Ryder. Either he gets moved to Smackdown and gets a push or he finds his way onto the future endeavored list.
Ted DiBiase
4 of 6
I am going to put this as simply as possible...Ted DiBiase is the most misused talent in the WWE. The WWE has put DiBiase at the bottom of the totem pole. If you do not think it is that bad then let's look at some numbers.
Ted DiBiase has not won a match since January 25th when he defeated Daniel Bryan on NXT.
DiBiase has not won a singles match on Raw since July 26th, 2010 (He defeated John Morrison).
Since that win DiBiase's record is six wins and 39 losses. Three of those wins came from tag matches.
The WWE finally broke up DiBiase and Maryse, which is a good thing. Ever since they were together ted DiBiase has been losing matches left and right. Now maybe he can get back on the winning side. DiBiase desperately needs a fresh start, so it makes sense to draft him to Smackdown. Just give him one win and see where he goes.
Drew McIntyre
5 of 6
If the WWE wants Drew McIntyre to become the "chosen one" then they need to give him the push and attention he needs. Before this week he was not in regular competition on Smackdown.
The Sinister Scotsman simply has run out of options on the Blue Brand. He has already feuded with Christian, Edge, Kane and had many matches with Rey Mysterio. By moving him to Raw, he will have many new opponents to take on.
Moving Drew McIntyre to the main show will allow him to become ruthless and sinister in the ring. The increased viewing audience could only be helpful to McIntyre. He has the charisma, wrestling ability and gimmick to be something big in the WWE.

There are more superstars that could benefit from the WWE Draft on Monday, but I think that those five are the ones with the most to gain.
