Russian Hockey Fight Video: Watch Idiot Fan Pick a Fight with Hockey Player

There's a Russian hockey fight video sweeping across the sports world today, after one fan made one of the dumbest decisions in sports fan history. 

The match appears to be between a Canadian team (the team in white has the maple leaf on the front of their jerseys, and the names on the back are Reardon and Peterson) and a Russian team.

I don't know the score, or the point in the game it takes place, but at some point, things get ugly. 

A team-wide brawl breaks out against the boards, as three Russian players check a Canadian into the boards. As more Canadians jump into the fracas, a Russian fan jumps the glass and drops onto the ice into the midst of the scrum, trying to take down one of the Canadians. 

He actually sort of succeeds, before getting pummeled by the player, and dragged off the ice by the officials, but he leaves to the cheers of a suddenly energized crowd.

I've seen stupid fan stunts before, but this has to take the cake.

How dumb do you have to be to scale the boards, jump onto the ice and get into a fight with a hockey player?

Apart from the fact that they have razor sharp blades attached to their feet, they're also athletic, and many of them know how to fight.

Plus, most of them are stronger than your average person, meaning that they not only know how to hurt, they can hurt you more than the average person can. 

Somehow, the knucklehead appears to escape any kind of harm thanks to the timely efforts of the officials. 

He really is lucky the players didn't get a couple good shots in on him; if they had, they might have had to bring out the smelling salts to get him off the ice. 

Hopefully, this will be the last we see of this moron at a hockey game for a long, long time.
