Serena Williams Fights Back from Health Problems in Pink Bodysuit

Justin TateApr 13, 2011

Yahoo! Sports reported just yesterday that Serena Williams is back to practicing on the tennis court after her health issues last month that were expected to keep her off the court for up to a year.

Williams suffered a pulmonary embolism last month. Described as a blood clot in the lung, a pulmonary embolism usually starts from somewhere else in the body. On most occasions, it starts in the legs.

Williams' doctor discovered the blood clot after checking on Williams' foot, which had injuries sustained from stepping on glass.

Her clot was caught in time and her doctors have closely monitored her recovery from all her health-related issues, including a hematoma (leaked blood outside the blood vessels) from the foot injury.

Now she's back, tweeting a photo of herself on the court sporting a very sexy pink bodysuit. Let's hope she takes her time to properly recover and gets back to doing what she does best, winning, and looking good doing it.
