Friday Night Fight Results: Henry Lundy Defeats Lopez by Unanimous Decision

Henry Lundy (19-1-1) takes on Patrick Lopez (20-3) in the main event of Friday Night Fights.

Undercard results:

Vladine Biosse def. Tim Connors via TKO. Biosse knocked the Irish fighter down twice before earning the TKO victory in the fifth round. Biosse's records improves to 11-0 with six knockouts.

Elvin Ayala also knocked out his opponent, Joe Gardern, with two body shots in the fifth round. Ayala's record improves to 21-5-1.

Main Event: Henry Lundy vs. Patrick Lopez

Round 1- Lundy sporting the zebra trunks. Both fighters exchange right hands. Lopez avoids a right but gets cracked with a left hand that gets his attention. Lundy is controlling the pace of the round and he is off to a good start. 10-9 Lundy

Round 2- Lopez jumps in with a right hook that grazes Lundy. Not many jabs being thrown by Lopez. Lundy lands a right hand and Lopez returns with a right of his own. Lopez misses with a right and is countered by Lundy. A perfect lunging left hand bu lundy puts the two-time Olympian down with 20 seconds left in the round. 10-8 Lundy

Round 3- Lundy misses with a left. Lopez lands a left hand of his own and follows up with another left hand. Two left hands land for Lundy. Lopez lands a left hand to the body and one to the head as Lundy goes against the ropes. Big exchanges in this fight with little jab work. Both fighters are landing solid body shots inside. Round 4- Both fighters utilizing the jab this round. Lundy is still looking for the leaping left hand that put Lopez down in the second. Lopez' body shots or Lundy's jab will be the punches that determine the rest of the outcome of this fight. 10-9 Lundy

Round 5- Wild punches miss for both fighters. Lundy's jab is still controlling the action. Lopez delivers a body shot as Lundy goes against the ropes. He adds a series of jabs behind it. Combination by Lundy lands. Left hook follows and lands right on the chin of Lopez. It was a close round, but Lundy took over in the last minute. Both fighters are cut by headbutts. 10-9 Lundy

Round 6- Lundy controlling the round with his jab. Lopez is still coming forward, but Lundy's speed is being a key factor for why nothing is landing solid for Lopez. Lundy lands a left hand late in the round. Lopez throws a four punch combination on Lundy against the ropes. Good end for Lopez. 10-9 Lopez

Round 7- Lopez is on the attack, and Lundy seems to think he already won. A left lands for Lopez as he jumps in. Punches landed so far: Lundy 63-172, Lopez 31 landed shots. Lopez was the aggressor that round. It may have won him it. 10-9 Lopez

Round 8- Left hand lands for Lopez. Big punches by both fighters. Right hook lands for Lopez and a body shot. Lopez is really digging into the body of Lundy. Lopez gets Lundy on the ropes and begins to unload. Big comeback round for Lopez. 10-9 Lopez

Round 9- Lopez lands two body shots. Lundy returns with a jab and a right hand. Combination lands for Lopez. Right hand to the body by Lopez. Right hook by Lundy. Both fighters exchange power shots in final minute of round. Lopez gets caught with a right hand. Lopez is all over Lundy trying to seal the deal. 10-9 Lopez

Winner of the tenth round wins the fight on my scorecard.

Round 10- Lopez' momentum is sky high right now. His pressure has carried him through the last couple rounds. Lundy has been accurate but is not as active. Lopez leading in punches landed at 132. Lundy has landed 119. Lundy goes against ropes and Lopez unloads. Both fighters continue to exchange as the final minute counts down. Great end to a very good fight! 10-9 Lundy
