WWE Elimination Chamber Results: Where Does John Morrison Go from Here?

RiZEFeb 20, 2011

As we all predicted, the Elimination Chamber went exactly how we planned. Edge was going to retain his World Title, Miz would retain, Cena would win, The Corre would regain the titles, and Del Rio would overtake Kofi Kingston. But we had our fair share of surprises tonight.

Teddy Long rehired Kelly Kelly and she planned to exact revenge on Vickie Guerrero, but was thwarted by LayCool.

The attack brought out former women’s champion Trish Stratus, who was announced as a trainer for Tough Enough earlier in the evening.

Trish easily dominated the Divas, ending the onslaught with a little stratusfaction.

Captain Charisma made his anticipated return to WWE. Christian thwarted Del Rio’s attack on Edge and gave the Hispanic Superstar a killswitch for his troubles. It seems as if Christian will be looking for a measure of revenge this coming Friday.

Triple threat anyone?

Despite all of these events, the show belonged to John Morrison.

Like I expected, Morrison stole the show with his unique set of offense and created more moments for us fans to remember.

The Spider-Man earned his name tonight by climbing to the top of the Chamber and diving on King Sheamus. Morrison displayed his parkour with an amazing spot with CM Punk.

Even though Morrison was undoubtedly the Chamber MVP, he was eliminated after a GTS.

Now that Morrison’s officially out of the WWE Title picture, what’s next for the Shaman? We have exactly six weeks until WrestleMania and Morrison doesn’t have a guaranteed spot at the event.

The Miz is occupied with Cena while Orton will look to unleash his venom on Punk; there are no heels for Morrison to feud with.

Sheamus has slid down to the mid card and a win over him is old news for John Morrison.

While all signs point to the Money in the Bank Ladder match, the WWE hasn’t even announced it for Mania.

The ladder match may be out of the question now that there’s a pay per view dedicated to the event. If there isn’t a MITB for Mania, I’m afraid that John Morrison will return to the mid card.

We all know John Cena is WWE’s cash cow and Cena not winning the WWE title scares them enough to rule out any other option.

So where exactly does Morrison go from here? Back to the mid card and continuing his amazing spots on RAW in filler roles.

He’ll probably team with Orton or Truth to take on members of New Nexus. That is unless the WWE decides to resurrect the MITB match for WrestleMania.

Despite this, most will never forget the incredible things John Morrison did tonight. He truly stole the show and will be remembered for his efforts tonight.

I think Shawn Michaels may have a decent challenger to his showstopper nickname.
