FC Barcelona Renews Pep Guardiola's Contract Until 2012

FC Barcelona has announced that it will renew Pep Guardiola's contract as coach. The renewed contract is set to expire on June 30, 2012.

It is expected that the agreement will be formalized before a press conference within the next few days. Pep Guardiola has been at the forefront of FC Barcelona since 2008.

During his tenure as coach, the team was transformed as a powerhouse which resulted in multiple victories. The first victory was at the Copa Del Rey in Mestalla followed by another at the Bernabeu.
