Danica Patrick: 10 Bold Predictions for Her in NASCAR In 2011

Melissa Bauer-HerzogJun 7, 2018

Last season's Nationwide season received a lot of attention from those outside of NASCAR when it was announced Danica Patrick would drive in a limited amount of races in the series.

We found out just how different open wheel driving is from stock cars while listening to her press conferences, but has she learned enough in the off season to be successful in stock cars this year?

Here are ten bold and totally fake predictions I am making about her 2011 NASCAR season.

#1- She'll Learn Stock Car Lingo

AVONDALE, AZ - NOVEMBER 12: Danica Patrick, driver of the #7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet, speaks during a press conference prior to practice for the NASCAR Nationwide Series WYPALL 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on November 12, 2010 in Avondale, Arizona.

This was a big problem in Danica's learning curve last year and one that she admitted she was having trouble with.

I predict that during the off season she learned all the lingo and will sound just like Mark Martin on the radio this year.

#2- She'll Win A Race

Patrick struggled in NASCAR last year so guessing that she will win a race is a bold prediction, but maybe she'll be able to pull it off in her second season.

#3- She'll Quit IndyCar This Season

Everyone has said Patrick would be better off focusing on one series or the other since she has voiced her opinion that the cars are so much different.

If she wants to be successful in NASCAR, this would be the year to make a big change.

After winning a race in the Nationwide Series, Patrick jumps right into the shark tank to race against the major drivers.

#5- She Pulls A Joey Logano

Like Joey Logano did a few years ago, Danica Patrick dominates the races she runs in and finishes high in the points in Nationwide, despite not racing the whole season.

Danica decides to focus on her modeling career and hangs up her helmet in both the Indy and NASCAR series.

She cites that she has done "all she wants to do" in car racing.

I know, I'm dreaming.  The Media Madness around her will continue this season, but a girl can dream, can't she?

In this era of drivers starting their own teams, Danica decides to join the crowd and starts her own one-car team in 2012.

#9- She Doesn't Finish Outside The Top 10

HOMESTEAD, FL - NOVEMBER 20: Justin Allgaier, driver of the #12 Verizon Wireless Dodge, and Danica Patrick, driver of the #7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet, lead a group of cars during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November

She is given such good cars that no matter what she does, she doesn't finish outside the top ten in any race.

NASCAR and the media go crazy.

#10- She Wrecks Kyle Busch

She sees the chance to gain fan approval and wrecks Kyle Busch.

Her popularity skyrockets and she challenges Dale Jr. for most popular driver in NASCAR.
