WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: Rumble Fallout and Elimination Chamber Qualifying

Micheal RobinsonJan 31, 2011

Tonight, WWE Monday Night Raw comes to us from the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, RI.

Where do we start after what we saw last night?

Alberto Del Rio was the winner of the 2011 Royal Rumble.  Again, Alberto Del Rio was the winner of the 2011 Royal Rumble.  Wow.

Did it feel right?  Not to me at least, nor the crowd in Boston.  When the pyro was going off and he was on the top rope, the crowd was completely silent.  It just didn't look or feel right.

Normally I don't mind when the WWE has an upset, a-la The Miz, but this one irked me just a bit.

While Del Rio is a SmackDown superstar, there is a good chance we could see him tonight.

One thing we will see tonight is John Cena.

During the Royal Rumble, Cena will likely respond to The Miz's actions which cost him a trip to the main event at WrestleMania last night.

Cena still could very well find himself in the main event at WrestleMania, if The Miz is still champion then, as those two are likely to square off.

I can't really get too excited about WrestleMania; I'll be there, and I have great seats, but I am a bit nervous at this point after what I saw last night.

I can dig the idea of Del Rio vs. Edge vs. Christian that is being thrown around, though, so hopefully the rumor will materialize.

The Elimination Chamber is less then three weeks away, so it isn't too early for the WWE to build up to that event.  If they want it to be a decent show, they will start building up tonight on Raw.

On the Raw side of the Elimination Chamber, The Miz will have his hands full.

The Chamber is likely to hold six Raw superstars, with one of them being The Miz.

I think we will have a series of qualifying matchups to determine those other five competitors, just as they did last year on the February 1 episode of Raw, for the inaugural Elimination Chamber event.

It is likely The Miz will have Alex Riley to compete against Cena for a spot in the chamber.

I don't think Cena will get this on his first try, allowing Riley to get into the Chamber match as an enforcer for The Miz.

Cena will have to wait another week, but of course, he will eventually get in.

The five challengers I have for Miz's title at Elimination Chamber are Riley, Cena, Randy Orton, John Morrison and Sheamus.

If I am wrong about my Riley prediction, I will throw CM Punk into the main event.
