He is perfection. He has what might be the best hair in the business. He is finally getting his well deserved title shot coming up at the Royal Rumble. Who else could I be referring to other than Dolph Ziggler?
He recently changed his Twitter name to @HEELZiggler, but there should be a number one placed right in front of it. That is because Ziggler is on his way to becoming one of the top heels in the company, if not already on Smackdown, and his ascension to the top of WWE could happen sooner than later.
He first appeared on our screens as a member of the Spirit Squad back in 2006. When the group finally broke up, everyone was curious as to who would succeed the most. Most thought it would be Kenny, who was the self-proclaimed leader of the group.
But after his singles run failed to live up to its expectations, the WWE Universe was presented with the greatest member of the bunch, Dolph Ziggler.
He made his debut on Raw by going around to other "entertainers" and introduced himself by saying, "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler." Little did anyone know that the bleach blond superstar would now be where he is now.
After winning his first Intercontinental Championship, Dolph would hold his title for five months before losing the title to Kofi Kingston on Smackdown. In what would be a turn of events, Ziggler threw himself into the No. 1 contender match that same night and won the match, thus setting up his WHC match with Edge at the Royal Rumble.
Ziggler is one of the hardest working performers in the company and has paid his dues in the WWE. Dreaming of being a pro wrestler since he was 12, Ziggler now has the chance to become a Heavyweight Champion at one of the biggest PPVs of the year.
Not only that, but he has proven night in and night out that he can hang with the best in the business. He has put on great matches with the likes of Rey Mysterio and John Morrison. More recently, he had quality matches with John Cena and Randy Orton, crossing over to the Raw brand to show off his talents to those who might have forgotten him.
I think anyone who has forgotten him better re-introduce themselves to the blond-headed perfectionist on Smackdown.
Dolph Ziggler's 2011 could not be off to a better start and don't expect him to fade away from his new found spotlight. It is shining on him brightly and I wouldn't bet on it blinding him.
He has his eyes set directly on becoming one of the best overall performers in the business and this year could be it for him. WWE is looking to establish new stars heading into the future. Say it out loud with me: Dolph Ziggler will make a great world champion in 2011.
How does that sound to you? I think it sounds like music to the ears.
