Various sources including Sky Sports and tribalfootball.com late yesterday surfaced stories of Liverpool enquiring as to the loan availability of Manchester City forward Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togolese forward has been marginalised this season by manager Roberto Mancini and has long been linked with a move away in this window. With Edin Dzeko on the verge of a move to City it seems possible Adebayor could be about to leave - though his destination remains unclear.
Two more repeat names now - Lacina Traore (Daily Mirror) and Ricky van Wolfswinkel (sport.co.uk) have both been the subject of Reds' enquiries according to today's media reports, while sport.co.uk have also linked Liverpool to Asian superstar Keisuke Honda. The skillful Japanese forward, who can also play on the left or in the centre of midfield, is currently contracted to CSKA Moscow but has been the subject of interest in the media since it was claimed that CSKA would be selling one of their talented playmakers - Honda being one, Alan Dzagoev being the other.
The Guardian online states that Liverpool are considering a move for Tottenham's Croatian full-back Vedran Corluka. The right sided player has been left out of the team over the past month or so in favour of Alan Hutton, despite having started the season the number one choice for the position. Corluka can also play in the centre of defence and is composed on the ball.

givemefootball.com offer Davide Santon as a Liverpool target. The young Italian full back can play on either side and is an Inter Milan player, seen as a big prospect at both club and country level.
footballunited.com say that Liverpool reserve forward Jordy Brouwer has completed a permanent move to Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag, following a successful trial spell.
Nuri Sahin is a midfielder playing in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund. The classy Swiss international is said to have a £5 million release clause in his contract which can be activated by any club "challenging for trophies" - something which would rule Liverpool out of bidding for him, despite the reported interest from the club according to TalkSport.
Sky Sports have again linked Liverpool to Rennes midfielder Sylvain Marveaux who will leave the club in summer as he is out of contract. The left sided player is currently injured and will miss most of the remainder of this season.
The Daily Star picks Owen Coyle as the man who tops the managerial wanted-list for Liverpool. The paper says that Frank Rijkaard and Didier Deschamps have both ruled themselves out of the job - should it become available.
The same paper also carries news of a young Liverpool player, Tom Ince. He has recently been on loan with father Paul's Notts County side and has reportedly turned down an offer of a new contract with his parent club.
Which of the five forwards linked in this article would you like to see at Liverpool?
The Transfer Tavern has news of more than one player for us too: Per Mertesacker is linked with a £10 million move to the Reds yet again, while they also claim that Bayern Munich will splash the cash with a massive £32 million for Reds' striker Fernando Torres.
The final two offerings come from givemefootball.com. Firstly they claim Liverpool have made a 13 € million offer for Ivory Coast forward Gervinho and are currently awaiting a response from his club Lille. Gervinho can play on either wing but is predominantly an attacker; pacey and with a natural instinct to run at players, he is seen as a viable option due to his versatility, price and supposed availability.
Finally, a rumour which is already dead in the water - the same website claims Liverpool were highly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra; however his agent claims he is set to stay at the club and therefore the proposed interest is off.
