I am a Christian fan in the same way that I don't hate John Cena—not a good way to start an article, but hey.
John Cena is constantly moaned at by the IWC for many reasons, some of which he deserves and some of which he doesn't.
This led me not to be a fan of him but to disagree with amount of abuse the poor man is given.
Christian, on the other hand, is always praised by the IWC for whatever he does.
I am not going sit here and have a moan about how crap a wrestler he is or how he acts like superman or how he is so PG or how he always main-events every PPV and so on, because he doesn't.
In truth, he needs a push—or should I say, he "deserves" a push. He has been battling away in the midcards and on the company's old C-show and gets nothing from management for doing so. It's a real shame.
BUT many of the writers on this site feel he is entitled to the single greatest push in wrestling history! I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you there.
Royal Rumble predictions are coming in thick and fast all with their own ideas for how one of the most entertaining matching on the wrestling calendar is going to end. Favourite for the win at the moment is the Straight Edge Superstar and new Nexus leader, CM Punk, which is who I have my money on.
Many people have labeled Christian as the man who will win the big event on his return, headline Westlemania and win the World Heavyweight Championship; that is either a really horrible prediction or some people are getting boners over the thought of Christian headlining Wrestlemania.
Christian winning the Royal Rumble?
I'm going to stop here and say that if by some miracle Christian wins the Royal Rumble, I will post an apology as well as an article about how great Christian is and how bad John Cena is.
I just honestly don't see how so many people can be that delusional about him winning the Royal Rumble or headlining Wrestlemania. It's just not going to happen!
One of my favourite wrestlers is Wade Barrett, but I don't think he'll make an incredible comeback and win the Royal Rumble—I'm realistic.
I know this seems like all I've done is rant about Christian being overrated, which I sort of have. I am by no way saying he isn't good at what he does. A reunion with Edge would be amazing, a rivalry with Del Rio would be quality or a money in the bank win would be a good start, but him headlining Wrestlemania in his current midcard status? I just don't see it happening.
So for comments, can I please have comments explaining either why I am wrong or why Christian deserves more than I think he does?
Rather than nonsense about me just being a Cena lover, because I'm really not.
