Andy Murray's U.S. Open Dream Continues
Andy Murray came through a tough second-round tie at the U.S. Open and will now meet Austrian Jorgen Melzer in the third round.
The 21-year-old Scot battled past Frenchman Michael Lodra 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, and 7-6.
It was a tough challenge for the sixth-seeded Murray, and one that he'll probably have welcomed this early in the tournament. The 28-year-old Frenchman made Murray work extremely hard for his victory and even had the Scot pretty riled up.

Luckily for Murray fans around the world, he fought his way out a situation that would probably have seen him fold in previous years, as he became upset with the official and his opponent's game plan.
Neither man was particularly happy with the umpiring, but Murray composed himself before seeing off the Frenchman.
Next up for Murray is 48th-ranked Jurgen Melzer from Austria. The left-hander easily won through to the third round with an emphatic 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 win over Jiri Vanek.
I must admit that it's great to see Murray get a grip of his emotions, and he is clearly maturing in front our eyes, tournament by tournament.
It wasn't the only Murray insight I've learned this week.
His former coach, Brad Gilbert, admitted to personal issues between the two, and Andy's argumentative streak being the reason for their split.
Gilbert also let on that Murray loves his video games and would play all day if he could.
Not too much different to most 21-year olds then.
So, it's two rounds down now for Murray, but as usual, I'll not be looking beyond round three.
Did You Know?
Andy has an older brother on tour named Jamie. The 22-year-old is a doubles specialist and even has a grand slam to his name. The left-hander on the 2007 Wimbledon mixed doubles title with none other than Jelena Jankovic.
The brothers often team up in doubles events and even played for Britain together at the recent Olympics. They were knocked out early on by the French in what was a disappointing tournament for Andy.
At least he got the last laugh, as after all, it's Murray heading into round three here at Flushing Meadows and not his Olympic conqueror Lodra.
