Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Uncle Roger Mayweather To Appear in Court on January 24
On January 24, 2011, Floyd Mayweather, Jr and his uncle Roger Mayweather will appear in court for various criminal cases they are facing separately.
Floyd will be arraigned for eight criminal charges that could bring him up to 18 years in prison as a result of his alleged attack on his former girlfriend Josie Harris who is the mother of his two children while Roger will face trial for attacking a female boxer in his own apartment in August 2009.
The report did not say why they were asked to appear in court on the same date.

Roger Mayweather, Floyd's uncle and trainer, pleaded not guilty to battery charges lodged by Melissa St. Vil, a 26- year-old woman boxer
St. Vil alleges Mayweather punched and choked her until she was nearly unconscious before police arrived at the apartment where she was staying in Las Vegas.
The charges carry a possible 10-year prison sentence. Mayweather is free on $13,000 bail.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr did not show up at his scheduled arraignment Tuesday prompting Judge Diana Sullivan to require Mayweather, Jr. to post a $31,000.00 bail within the week.
The lady judge who ordered Mayweather, Jr to stay away from Josie Harris and their two sons, likewise ordered the undefeated boxer to appear in court on January 24.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr who is undefeated in 41 fights, went into semi retirement after beating Ricky Hatton of Britain on December 5, 2007. After an 18-month break, he resumed fighting by signing up to face Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez.
After winning over Marquez via a unanimous decision, Mayweather fought Shane Mosley for another win amid protests from fans over Shane Mosley's failure to knock out Mayweather after he caught the undefeated boxer with devastating punch in the second round.
Boxing critics were of the opinion that the fight was fixed in order to preserve Mayweather's unblemished record.
Boxing fans from around the world are hoping to see a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight next year but with Mayweather's courtroom fights, it appears the dream match every one in the world wants to see will most likely remain a dream
