Yes, folks, it's finally happened.  Mike Shanahan has done the dreaded: He's called former No. 1 pick J-Marc to come try out in D.C.

Russell has been removed from the league all season after being cut by Oakland, following an arrest for possessing large quantities of cough syrup.

What on earth are the Redskins thinking?  Donovan McNabb was recently benched by Shanahan for reasons of cardiovascular deficiencies.  That translates into Shanahan having no confidence in McNabb, whatsoever.

Russell will come into Washington as a prospecting third-string QB.  There is rumor that he could be as high as second string after Rex Grossman made a turnover on his first play from scrimmage last Sunday.

Safe to say, this is a horrible move for any team.  Those who are still riding his "strong arm" upside are completely oblivious to the fact that he has no chemistry, nor does he possess normal thought-processing skills.

As for now, JaMarcus will get a shot at the NFL, possibly his last chance at playing football.  The UFL even has doubts.

Oakland fans laugh collectively today, as finally another team will be stuck with the burden that is JaMarcus Russell

Who would have thought: The Raiders take the Redskins' QB, Jason Campbell, and the Skin's turn around and take a gander at our delusional QB.

Oh how the tables have turned.
