WWE Creature Vs. Creature: John Morrison Deserves to Be World Champion

Competing in my first Creature vs. Creature on the B/R, the subject really hit home. What superstar deserves to be World Champion? I had at least 20 different guys to pick from, but ultimately I chose the most talented wrestler never to win a World Championship.

The Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison.

The reason I chose Morrison is simple—he has all the tools to be one hell of a World Champion. But instead, management uses him as a jobber. More specifically, a stepping stone. Before his current place on the RAW Wrestler, he was basically reinvented on ECW.

We all knew him as Johnny Nitro, the kid who changed his name every week. Eric Bischoff's lacky. Then to multiple tag team champion with MNM. I first noticed Morrison's talent when he became IC Champion for the first time, and made me want to follow the guy's career.

Indeed I did.

Though very unfortunate events led him to face CM Punk at Night of Champions 2007, the WWE saw potential and they capitalized on it. The night Morrison stunned all ECW fans.

The cocky, brash, flashy wrestler who couldn't get a break on RAW had just defeated one of their most beloved stars. As the weeks progressed, so did Morrison in ring ability and mic skills. He drew major heat on ECW.

Silencing the critics who say Morrison is boring as a heel. Evidently, fans didn't think so.

His transformation into John Morrison puzzled me, but it was for the best. He was the ECW Champion, and there was nothing CM Punk could do about it. He defeated Punk at three straight pay-per-views. But one major mistake cost Morrison everything he worked for.

Steroids.

Suspended for 30 days for violating the Wellness Policy, Morrison was forced to relinquish the ECW Title to Punk in a Last Chance Match.

Fast-forward to Morrison being drafted to WWE Smackdown last year. His first time as a Face. Putting on some of the best matches of 2009 with Edge, Jeff Hardy, Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio. Defeated World Champion CM Punk twice before losing the actual title opportunity to Hardy.

As a Face, Morrison's mic skills were nowhere near as good as they were while he was on ECW.

For some strange reason, Morrison dropped out of the title picture into the IC title hunt. Defeating reigning Champion Rey Mysterio. We all thought it was just a matter of time.

We were all wrong. He lost to a far inferior wrestler in the Miz, then was used as a stepping stone for Drew McIntyre.

They gave Morrison the opportunity and he made the best of it. Yet he gets dropped down the card, and begins losing to a guy who hasn't proven anything other that he can beat R-Truth.

It's extremely disappointing to know he may never win the World Title.

A few months back, I gave all hope up. Until he wrestled Jericho. WWE showcased his parkour before matches. He was dominating WWE Champion Sheamus. He was finally considered for WWE title bouts.

While that's all fine and dandy, I still want Morrison to continue his push. Aren't we tired of seeing John Cena and Randy Orton dominate the title picture? Same for Taker and Triple H.

It's time for the guy who has worked his butt of for eight years to reign as the champion. The extremely talented and innovative John Morrison.

WWE has had opportunity after opportunity to pull the trigger. Why not? Is another Cena and Orton reign really what you Bleachers want?
