Offensive domination - loss of concentration

For 1½ game the The Patriots offense totally dominated two of the best defenses in the NFL.

To me it looked like the the Patriots for 1½ game scored at will and that Tom Brady has been loaded up with so many threats that they have been impossible to cover.

The superiority was demonstrated in Randy Moss one handed catch against no other than the best corner in the league.

What happened !?

I think what happened was that the Patriots offense just relaxed a little bit and lost just that little bit of concentration that makes a huge difference against a great defence like the Jets.

Now I know that the defense gave up some vital plays - but if Brady and the offense had kept their momentum and extended their plays like they did in the first half - I don't think that the Jets would have had a chance to gain momentum and to score as much as they did.

I think that Tom Bradys comment "We sucked" and the expression on his face showed it all - he new they lots a game they had in their pocket - and he knew why ??

And for sure Belichick will not make them forget why they lost that game - and he will use that against them for the rest of the season.

Cut the defense some slack !

I know the defense gave up some big plays - but I don't think you can expect a young defense like the Patriots to play perfectly - especially when the offense gives away the ball so quickly.

I think the young players on defense needs more time off field for the coaches to coach them and to help them keep focus on doing the right things.

Its demanding mentally and physically to play the aggressive defense of Belichick.

Credit to the Jets - >> and Mark Sanchez in particular

Finally I have to give credit to the Jets and especially Mark Sanchez.

With all the doubts that have been aired about Mark Sanchez abilities to get the passing game going - I think he stepped up big time when he was required to - I have been critical about Mark Sanchez abilities but I take my hat of for his performance. He was given the opportunity by the The Patriots offense - and he took it - respect.

By the way - who said Braylon Edwards couldn't catch the football !?
