Top Matches

The five premier matches of the day will all be held in Arthur Ashe Stadium. They run as follows:

Women's Doubles—Semifinals: Vania King/Yaroslava Shvedova (6) Vs. Cara Black/Anastasia Rodionova (9).

The sixth-seeded team is fresh off of a 6-3, 6-3 victory over the top-seeded doubles team while their opponents are coming off a hard fought victory against the 14th-seeded Russians.

Mixed Doubles—Finals: Leizel Huber/Bob Bryan (1) Vs. Kveta Peschke/Alsam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.

Well if you can't see both Bryan Brothers play today, you might as well catch one trying to hoist a trophy. The top-ranked team expects to beat their upstart opponents.

Men's Singles—Quarterfinals: Stanislas Wawrinka (25) Vs. Mikhail Youzhny (12).

In the first of two quarterfinal matches Thursday, the lowest-seeded player left in the men's draw takes on the 12th seed from Russia.

Exhibition Doubles—Semifinals: Martina Hingis/Anna Kournikova Vs. Pat Cash/Mats Wilander.

Hingis and Kournikova have won two Grand Slam doubles titles playing with each other and hope to advance to the exhibition final with a win on Thursday.

Men's Singles—Quarterfinals: Rafael Nadal (1) Vs. Fernando Verdasco (8).

By far the best match of the day, Nadal hopes to advance to the semifinals in his quest for that first U.S. Open by taking out his fellow Spaniard.
