Granted Brian Kelly’s debut win sparked up a lot of excitement for Notre Dame football, one celebrity appearance guaranteed a new level of enthusiasm for the Fighting Irish fanbase.

Pop star Taylor Swift attended the Irish's game against Purdue on Saturday, a 23-12 victory. Her brother Austin is a freshman at the school, so her original plan was to sit in the student section.

Needless to say she was eventually bumped up to sideline status, along with fellow pop star and actress Selena Gomez, who is enrolled at nearby Northwestern University.

Kelly has admitted to carrying Swift’s music on his iPod, and I’m sure a few of the players wouldn’t deny it either.
