Behind every champion, there is a support system to help with the good and the bad.  But what about behind a four-time consecutive champion named Jimmie Johnson?

He is supported by the beautiful Chandra Johnson.

Johnson drives the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet for Rick Hendrick Motorsports and Chandra can be seen by his side at almost every race.

Chandra was born in Oklahoma on July 16, 1978.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in business communications.

After graduating, she moved to New York City to continue her modeling career and was working for Wilhelmina when introduced to Johnson in 2002.

Marriage

In 2002 during a New York City trip, Johnson was introduced to Chandra by teammate and car owner Jeff Gordon.

In December 2003, Jimmie proposed in Beaver Creek, Colo., while the couple was on vacation.

They were married in St. Barts on Dec. 11, 2004, and honeymooned on team owner Rick Hendrick’s yacht.

Jimmie Johnson Foundation

In 2006, Jimmie and Chani started the Jimmie Johnson Foundation to help children in need achieve their dreams.

Chani is in charge of the foundation’s operations, and in August 2006, the foundation gave a grant to Victory Junction camp to open Victory Lanes bowling alley.

The couple is deeply involved in the foundation and have used their involvement in racing to further their cause.

On July 7, 2010, the couple welcomed their first child into the world.

Genevieve “Geni” Marie Johnson was born in the afternoon and it has been announced that she will make her first NASCAR appearance in New Hampshire.

Jimmie and Chani are one of the power couples of NASCAR and with their success both on and off the track, it is easy to see why they are one of the first couples named when thinking of NASCAR.
