Manny Pacquiao, Not Floyd Mayweather, is a Warrior
According to some Mexican Boxers, Manny Pacquiao is a warrior.
They don't feel the same about Floyd Mayweather.
Since he wasn't mentioned in the same breath as Pacquiao, would that make him a wimp?
That was the opinion of Mexican boxers who fought Pacquiao in comments published in last week's Sun Star Cebu newspaper.
The Mexican boxers praised Pac-Man and are proud of him.
Pacquiao fought 13 Mexican boxers. He's 10-1-2 against them.
Erik Morales was the only Mexican boxer to beat Pacquiao. He lost in a rematch to Pac-Man.
Pacquiao knocked out David Diaz in the ninth round and TKO'd Oscar De La Hoya in the eighth round.
Neither of them are Mexican-born boxers. They're Mexican-Americans, so they don't count.
Legendary trainer Emauel Steward said Mexican boxers are good counterpunchers and have great defense.
Marco Antonio Barrera calls Pacquiao a warrior. He lost twice to Pacquiao.
You know what happened to Juan Manuel Marquez. He lost to the Pac-Man.
Mayweaather fought eight Mexican boxers in his career. He beat Jose Luis Castillo twice in one of his biggest tests of his undefeated career.
Marquez, who also lost to Mayweather, said that Pacquiao hits harder than Mayweather.
That's a low blow.
Pacquiao had some power in his punches with fights against Ricky Hatton and De La Hoya. He knocked out Hatton and imposed his will on the "Golden Boy."
Mayweather TKO'd Hatton and won a decision over De La Hoya.
Now who has the power in their punches?
We shall see when these fighters get together.
