Margarito Approved by Texas; Pacquiao Fight is on for November 13th
Former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito has just been approved by the state of Texas to fight, which means the super fight with the pound for pound fighter of the decade, Manny Pacquiao, is indeed on as scheduled for November 13th at the world famous Texas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.
"I want to thank the state of Texas for granting me a boxing license, which enables me to continue my passion for the sport of boxing in the United States," Margarito said in a statement sent to The Associated Press. "I have dedicated my life to giving the fans of the sport entertainment and excitement. On Nov. 13, this great opportunity will ultimately be fulfilled."

There has been mixed emotions about this match up. Many fans feel Margarito does not deserve such a grand opportunity to make money and take on the hottest fighter in the sport due to his recent hand wrap scandal. Also, other fans have voiced their opinions about how the validity of both of these fighters having the chance of fighting for the vacant 154 belt when neither fighter is currently ranked in that division. Also criticism has come about the fact that the fight is going to be at another catchweight.
What are your thoughts now that the fight is indeed definitely on? Let's hear what you have to say about the fight now that there are no more "legal" barriers in the way.
I'll say this—as much as there are people hating on this fight, we all have seen how drama does fuel a good fight and, more importantly, the pay per view numbers in the end.
This fight will do huge numbers and it will top Pacquiao's last fight against an unknown Clottey.
I'll personally be in the mighty Jerry Jones palace come November 13th and I bet a lot of the people hating on this fight who swear they will boycott it will end up watching it in the end.
So let hear the real talk. What are your thoughts on this fight?
