You loved them during baseball draft preparation time, so we thought we would bring them back just in time for your football drafts.

It’s composite positional rankings.  For those that don’t understand composite rankings, what we did was take the rankings from CBS Sportsline.com, ESPN.com, Foxsports.com, Yahoo.com, NFL.com along with chinstrapninjas.com: jzak’s ranks with player capsules, and sockonfl’s ranks with player capsules. We came up with the following running back composite rankings by combining all those lists ... basically forming a super-list of the top players.

We also hope you check out the bevy of rankings, sleepers, and draft strategy articles we have for you here.

  1. Chris Johnson
  2. Maurice Jones-Drew
  3. Adrian Peterson
  4. Ray Rice
  5. Michael Turner
  6. Frank Gore
  7. Steven Jackson
  8. Rashard Mendenhall
  9. Ryan Mathews
  10. DeAngelo Williams
  11. Shonn Greene
  12. Ryan Grant
  13. Pierre Thomas
  14. Chris “Beanie” Wells
  15. Cedric Benson
