10 Potential RAW Guest Hosts That Might Make Me Watch Just For Them

I'm like most of you in the WWE Universe: We're tired of these lame RAW guest hosts. Most of them don't know anything about the wrestling business and some of them aren't even big celebrities. If you're going to bring on someone famous, make it someone we actually want to see.
I mean, does anybody want to see Justin Long? The only reason he's known to most people is because he dated Drew Barrymore. Mostly these guest hosts are seen backstage with the Bella's and do nothing but plug their upcoming movie, TV show, or album.
But there are some certain people you could get to guest host and we might actually say "hmmm, I'd like to see him/her and see what they have to say or do". For this to work however, Vince would have to actually give them something to do other than be comic relief.
Most of these are my personal picks, but I think most of them can have a logical reason to be on RAW other than promoting their stuff. So here are my picks for potential RAW guest hosts.
Michael Jordan
RAW was in Charlotte not too long ago and guess who was backstage visiting? That's right, the best basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan.
Since I don't recall a guest host that night, (or if there was one it was really lame) then why not have MJ out there? As far as I know, he's still part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats and he played at UNC which is not too far away, so it would be safe to say he would get less boos than Cena does.
If you're going to have someone of his star power watching backstage, you should really have him out there.
Paula Creamer and/or Natalie Gulbis
Now, most of the WWE Universe probably doesn't know who these two young ladies are, but as far as professional golf goes, they are about as popular as it can get.
There was a rumor a few months ago that Vince McMahon was trying to get Tiger Woods to come on RAW as a guest host. I believe this was also around the time all of the skeletons came out of his closet. With his image a little tarnished now, its probably not a good idea to bring him on the show.
These two, however, are as far away from Tiger on the scandal scale as it can get. These two are the most well known names on the LPGA, and have a lot more personality than Phil Mickelson, so if you're going to get a name golfer, then they would be the ones to have on the show.
Plus, they're just so darn cute!
Carrie Underwood
A lot of people complain that the guest hosts Vince gets don't have a lot of pro wrestling knowledge. That I can live with. My problem is that Vince gets guest hosts that don't have a lot of talent. This would easily be solved with the best thing to come from Oklahoma since good 'ol JR.
Other than being the most successful American Idol contestant of all time, she has numerous Grammy's and various country music awards. Too many to list, really.
She could've been the guest host in Richmond the night of the Draft since there was no guest host and since she had a concert there the next day. (I was there for both)
Maybe she doesn't have intimate wrestling knowledge, but she has what the guest host concept has been lacking: STAR POWER.
Besides, just look at those legs...
...Wait, what was I talking about?
Jennifer Hudson
Speaking of talented American Idol contestants, here's one that has a logical reason to be a guest host.
Besides being a Grammy and Oscar winner, her husband, David Otunga, is part of the rouge group Nexus on RAW. There aren't nearly enough "heel" guest hosts and she would have to be one for obvious reasons.
Adam Sandler
Here's another legit entertainer. Most of his movies crack the $100 million mark, and while he hasn't been as funny recently as he was in the "Billy Madison" days, he's still and A-Lister, unlike many of the USA network guys that they bring on.
Plus, he's a big wrestling fan. He's been seen in the front row of many WWE Pay-Per-Views and even had the Big Show in his movie "The Waterboy".
Cyndi Lauper
How about one throwback to the old days?
Ms. Lauper hasn't been as relevant in recent years as she was in the "Rock 'n Wrestling" days, but she could still draw a crowd if they brought her in and gave a decent storyline.
I can just see the possibilities now with Santino and Koslov doing a "Goonies R Good Enough" sketch with Koslov as Sloth and Santino as Corey Feldman.
Mickie James
This is for my Richmond peeps! She and Jason Mraz are the biggest names in entertainment to ever come out of the city. (at least until I become famous!)
Plus, let's not forget how she was treated the last few months of her tenure in WWE. The woman deserves a proper send-off after all she gave for the company over the years.
And since she's delving into country music and has an album, it would be a good place for her to get her music out there.
Shawn Michaels
Can somebody tell me why he wasn't at least in some kind of backstage segment when they were in his hometown of San Antonio a few weeks ago?
There's no logical reason why he wasn't a guest host there. His family was out in the audience watching and he and Vince were sitting backstage together.
Maybe he was asked and declined, but my guess is Vince didn't even ask. And I know most people will say "It's too soon. He hasn't been gone that long." But any true wrestling fan and every HBK fan knows that you can never get enough of the "Showstopper"!
The Rock
Do you smell it?
It's been talked about for some time now, but we still haven't seen him. Where is he? He made a brief appearance during the 10th anniversary of Smackdown, but since then, we haven't heard from "The Great One".
After all the business and fans did for him over the years to get him to this point in his life, the least he could do is be a guest host. Or is he maybe the mystery GM? Only time will tell.
I do hope, however, that we see him and HBK at the 900th episode of RAW in a couple of weeks in some capacity.
A Member of the WWE Universe
Does anyone else remember a couple of years ago when Vince McMahon was interacting with the WWE Universe every week giving away some of his money? I've always wanted Vince to do something like that again, and here is the way: Have someone from the WWE Universe be a guest host!
Some people may be scratching their heads, but hear me out.
Wouldn't some of you guys love to walk down the aisle with the Bella's or Eve and get to announce the main event or sit with the announcers? How about being in a sketch with Santino or Goldust? It would be cool to see someone from the Universe get a chance to go where all of us dream to be: backstage at a WWE event.
There are two ways I could see this happening. The first, put up the opportunity on Ebay and the highest bidder will get to be flown out to be guest host, with the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish. The second way would be to have a contest on WWE.com or YouTube where everyone sends in a video of why they should be the one to be the guest host. The best one would be voted on by the WWE Universe (you wouldn't be allowed to vote if you sent in a video) or by WWE management. The winner would then get to live out their dream.
It's just a thought, but its something to consider. It would certainly get everyone talking about the guest host concept again.
That's It!
So, what do you guys think?
Is there someone I'm leaving out?
Thanks for viewing.
