Rey Mysterio and CM Punk: Making WWE Television Interesting Again?

The Jaden SmallingsContributor IMay 20, 2010

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't written anything for the past month or so, it's just that I've been really busy.

Anyways, there are a few WWE rivalries that have been worth the watch to me currently, but there's only one that's really caught my attention.

That one rivalry is none other than Rey Mysterio and CM Punk.

This rivalry has been gold right from the beginning when CM Punk degraded Rey Mysterio in front of his whole family and everyone watching.

Mysterio then got his revenge at Wrestlemania when he beat CM Punk on the grandest stage of them all but that wasn't the end of it.

Mysterio would constantly interfere to save numerous superstars from CM Punk and his straight edge society.

Punk challenged Mysterio once again, but this time if Mysterio beat him, his would be shaved bald. Mysterio accepted the challenge, and they squared off at Extreme Rules.

Although the match was fantastic, the match ending was really what was worth the watch.

As Mysterio was outside the ring, a masked member of the straight edge society interfered attacked him which led to Punk winning and keeping his head.

After a little while, Punk and Mysterio got involved in a confrontation in which Mysterio admitted that Punk's message is good, but the messenger himself isn't.

Now, this Sunday at Over The Limit, Punk and Mysterio face off against each other in a match with the stipulation that if Punk wins, Mysterio joins the straight edge society but if he loses, CM Punk will have his head shaved bald.

If WWE wants to continue to make this storyline interesting, they should book the match at Over The Limit in such a way that it will steal the show and have Punk beat Mysterio in a tremendous turn of events.

Well that's it. Until next time, peace.
