HP Byron Nelson Invitational: Heath Slocum Predicted to Finish Strong

Your next PGA Tour Event is the HP Byron Nelson Invitational, played at the TPC Four Seasons Course-Las Colinas, in Irving, Texas.

Last year's winner, Rory Sabbattini will defend his title starting Thursday May 20th, and hopefully still will be in the hunt through Sunday May 23rd.

Sabbattini has done nothing special this seaon, so far,missing six cuts out of 12 tournaments, with only one top 10, and one top three so far in 2010.

My choice to win this event is Heath Slocum.

Slocum in 12 tournaments. has only missed one cut. He has three top 10 finishes, and is playing well in Texas. I think his time will come this weekend, and he gets the win.

My other fantasy pick is Kenny Perry as a back up to Slocum , in case of disaster, injuries, or [ahem], a missed cut.

My B- players this week are J.B. Holmes, Dustin Johnson, with Y.E Yang and Garrett Willis as the back-ups.

My C-Player is Ben Crane with Joe Durant as the back-up.

This tournament is the second leg of the PGA Tour Texas swing. Next they will head to Fort Worth for the Hogan. Oh, excuse me,now called the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

Lots of great players hailed from Texas. Ben Hogan. Ben Crenshaw, Jackie Burke, Tom Kite, just to name a very few.

Fishing and golf, that's all you really need, I suppose.
