With Love from Russia: Manchester United Linked with Swap Deal of Midfielder

Manchester United have been linked with a move for CSKA Moscow's impressive Serbian midfielder Milos Krasic. It has been reported that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offer the Red Devils' fan favourite Park Ji-Sung as part exchange for the CSKA Moscow playmaker.

The 25-year-old Krasic had an impressive 2009/10 season for the Russian outfit where he scored 13 goals in 40 appearances and played a pivotal part in the team's Champions League progress to the quarterfinals. He has also developed into a key figure of the Serbian national team's impressive World Cup adventure.

The Serbian national-team regular has been in the news recently with reports linking him to a host of clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan, and Manchester United.

United manager Ferguson is reported to have been impressed by the 6'1" Serb during the Red Devils' Champions League showdown with CSKA Moscow. The lanky winger scored against United in their face-off as the match finished in an exciting 3-3 draw. According to news around Old Trafford, Sir Alex is ready to place a bid for the winger this summer as he looks to reinforce his ageing midfield.

Valued at approximately £16 million, United will not have any serious problems in meeting his asking price. They are considering offering their impressive midfielder Park Ji-Sung as part payment. The part exchange is estimated to reduce Krasic's price to a mere £10 million.

Krasic, whose long blonde hair raises comparisons with legendary Czech player Pavel Nedved, is a talented but underrated player. With his speed, balance, and composure he can become a real asset for any club that he plays in. He has been a regular for his club and country.

The versatile midfielder is two types of midfielder in one. He can battle for the ball and often breaks down attacking moves from the opposition but perhaps more effectively he pushes his own side onwards with intelligent runs and more than occasional superb long range efforts. The creative playmaker likes to take up balls and create chances by himself which make him a threat for opponent's defenses.

With Sir Alex's midfield ageing rapidly and many of his old horses looking to retire within a couple of years, the highly-successful Scot will be looking to bring in reinforcements at Old Trafford this summer. The 2009 Serbian Player of the Year can be a good bargain for the United manager. The creative winger has the qualities and skills that allow him to fit into any role. His versatility will add a dimension to United's firepower.

Krasic has been growing better and better this season and that has garnered much interest among Europe's elite clubs who have all expressed their desire in securing the talented winger's services.

For the Red Devils, £10 million plus Park can be a good bargain as his arrival will lessen United's midfield worries. With likes of United veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs due to retire within a year or two, the arrival of the skilled Krasic will be a welcome relief.

Krasic has expressed his desire to seek new challenges which implies a possible move away from the Russian outfit. He has openly expressed his admiration for the Premier League and also his dream of playing for the Red Devils.

If Sir Alex Ferguson really wishes to make a move for the talented Serbian then he will be able to do it easily as CSKA Moscow are also prepared to cash-in on their prized asset. They will be looking to get the best price for their impressive winger.

Will Fergie really places a bid? Will Krasic start the new season in Red Devils colors? We are only a month away from the answers.
