What WWE Could Do to Improve the Product: Part One, RAW

Jon SainzApr 27, 2010

With the WWE Draft now over, RAW got the vast majority of main event status wrestlers. This may be good for the company and here are some ideas of how to use this.

Primary Title (WWE)

Having a lot of star power is a good thing for the WWE title, as there are many No. 1 contender possibilities; this may lead to some great feuds and championship matches.

It also grants us some diversity in the champions and championship matches, not just HHH, Orton, or Cena being champion almost all the time.

The only problem I see is that many possible champions will have to wait for an opportunity, except in the new Fatal Four-Way and MITB PPVs, where we will be able to see some, if not good, at least entertaining matches.

Secondary Title (US)

Having many championship level guys means that not all of them will be able to compete for the WWE title, so we may see some of the top wrestlers going after the secondary title while waiting for an opportunity to have a match for the big title.

This, in my opinion, is both good and bad. Good because the US title will most likely regain the notoriety it should have; and bad, because this title is theoretically the previous step to the WWE title, so it doesn't make much sense to have top stars feuding for it. It's not bad if you have one top guy and a mid carder feuding for this title, but not two top guys.

Upper mid card

There are not many guys left in this category in RAW, which may be good, since I think they will be either feuding between them, with main event level guys or with each other for the US championship (in this category I'm including: Ted DiBiase, John Morrison, The Miz, and the like).

Lower mid card

Heel stable managed by Santino Marella. I think this is a good way to go. They could feud with the upper mid card guys, with the Guest Hosts or do some bits.

I have no clue as how this could go, but since they only use Masters, Carlito, Kozlov, Marella, and guys like that as fillers, they could come up with something like "We are sick and tired of being the laughing stock of the WWE, and we are taking this stand right now" and start attacking anybody.

Other

The PG Rating: I've got nothing to say about it. You can have awesome matches with a PG rating (Taker vs. HBK) and really boring ones with a 14 or whatever rating (HHH vs. Kozlov vs Hardy vs. Edge).

The Guest Hosts: Get rid of them, or if you want to keep them, at least have Guest Host who have something to do with wrestling either in a direct way (The Rock, Goldberg, Heyman, etc.) or in a indirect way (Jay Leno, Danny Bonaducce, etc.).

If you get rid of the Guest Host bring in someone people either love (The Rock, Austin) or absolutely hate (Vickie Guerrero) as a RAW GM.

I think I didn't left anything out. If this gets some reads/comments I'll do part two (Smackdown) and part three (PPV/NXT/Other).
