What Lineup Will Wenger Go With Next Season ?

This topic is probably as important as the players we buy in the summer.

We currently play 4-3-3 but in the summer after Chamak's arrival its really not feasible to play 4-3-3 with 5 strikers in our first team so will wenger go back to 4-4-2 or will he play Bendtner and Chamak on the right wing and keep the 4-3-3 formation

Lets start with a normal 4-4-2 - If we play a normal 4-4-2 formation then we are more compact there's less room for teams to hurt us and Eduardo can play off a striker which is what he's good at but a 4-4-2 formation means Song goes out of the picture. Song was made for DM role that's what he's good at and in a normal 4-4-2 position you need both your CM to attack and defend, be very mobile which Song is not made for. In this formation we need a player like Nasri, Ramsey, Diaby

Pros - more compact. two strikers play

Cons - no room for Song or Denilson (DM position)

So what about a 4-4-2 Diamond - This formation means Wenger can play both Fabregas in the AM and Song in the DM position which is what suits them and play Arshavin and Rosicky or Nasri on the wings but this position also means very limited playing time for Diaby, Denilson, Ramsey, Wilshere as they will either be competing with Fabregas or Song and unless one of them is injured no one of them will play. Nasri and Rosicky will play on the wings so they wont have to worry about playing time

Pros - Right position for Fabregas and Song, a lot more attacking than a normal 4-4-2, two strikers play

Cons - Not enough playing time for Diaby, Denilson, Ramsey, Wilshere, less compact

A 4-3-3 formation - In a 4-3-3 formation there's really only room for one striker and unless we lose most of our strikers to injury like we did this year, I cant see us playing this position. Wenger can still play this position if our wingers get injured and then play our strikers on the wings like he did with bendtner but with Walcott,Nasri, Arshavin, Rosicky, Eboue I cant see us being too short of wingers.

Pros : More places for midfielders and the most attacking lineup we can have

Cons : No room for strikers, very vunerable especially on a counter attack

Conclusion : I think we will play a 4-4-2 diamond and change as injuries come about but next season I am sure with a fully fit squad we will start with a 4-4-2 diamond and then change to  4-3-3 if strikers get injured or to a 4-4-2 normal if Song gets injured.

Not a bad lineup if I do say so myself I just hope injuries don't ruin our season again like it has done this year.
