Dakoda Armstrong was'nt a factor with a few laps to go but he would be as the draft worked in his favor with help from Patrick Sheltra, Armstrong would score his first ever victory in the #22 Dodge for Cunningham Motorsports. Armstrong started from pole and led the first 20 laps before the caution came out when Robb Brent cut a left front tire out of turn 2 and hit the wall. Drivers came down for pit stops and Amstrong was the leader on the lap 22 restart. A few laps later Benny Chastain lost a tire in the tri oval got into the grass and hit the wall hard luckly he did'nt collect the field.

With 44 laps to go a multi crash crash takes place going into turn one when the #52 of Bill Barid got clipped and sent hard into the outside wall collecting several other drivers including Bobby Gerhart, Alex Kennedy, Mark Thompson, Ricky Carmichael, Bryan Silas, Sean Corr and James Buescher. Mikey Kile and Patrick Sheltra would also get a piece of the action but recover well at the finish. Grant Enfinger leads on the restart with 37 laps to go ahead of Steve Arpin and would lead until another caution for debris with 18 laps to go.

This would setup a wild finish as the pack grew bigger and drivers grew more axious and several drivers started making there way to the front and Grant Enfinger did everything he could to hold off the pack coming to the white flag and on the last lap down the backstretch Steve Arpin got turned by Joey Coulter but not caution as they race back to the line Patrick Sheltra gives Armstrong a push to the victory and scores his first win at Talladega.
