The Rock Vs Austin...WrestleMania 17 The Greatest Promo Ever!
Hey Wrestling World it is your boy Money with is 1st article spitting truth about my favorite childhood entertainment program.
I have been reading the articles and listening to people ask what is wrong with the WWE? Is it the writers? Is it the wrestlers? Is it the PG thing? Is it the lack of competition? Is it Cena...well yes it is Cena (I hate that damn guy!) The WWE is stale because of the writers and the lack of competition not really the PG rating. TNA can't even compete with the Westminster dog show. The truth is the passion is gone.

Report: Knicks Watch Party Shut Down
As I was wasting time in my boring life (imagine that) I came across the thing that made me love wrestling. WrestleMania 17 The Rock Vs Austin. I have been a fan since HBK and The Rocker days, but I am a strong fan of the Attitude Era! But what was it about this last match of the Attitude Era that is far beyond anything today...Ah it was the build up, the story, the best damn promo is WWE history!
The Rock Vs Austin promo for WM 17 was perfect. The moment, the song ( I hate Fred Durst but the song was perfect for the moment), the two stars, Good ole JR's voice, and the storytelling within the promo. It was like an epic movie! I get goosepimples (yes I said pimples) just like I did back when I was a teenager. I re-watched this promo and I am still hyped to see the match even though I have seen it 100s of times. WM 17 was the last WM I purchased because it was so well put together with the storylines...THE Passion!
Watching this promo again makes me sad because we may never seen something like that again. The interview between Rock and Austin at the end just put it at a whole new level. Batista Vs Cena can't even fart on a candle yet alone hold one to the Rock Vs Austin. Creatives take note: That was passion. You don't need a TV-14 rating to do that! Passion is not Cena running into the ring ripping off his shirt and screaming like a crazed monkey to "Your Time is Up" How ironic that "Your Time is Up" has been Cena's theme for the pass 6 years. This was almost art. This was creatives doing there job to the nth degree!
Watch this and tell me I am wrong....
