To Believe Or Not To Believe? Arsenal Sign Marouane Chamakh

Dailymail is reporting that Arsenal have signed Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh on a £12m four-year deal, typical Arsene Wenger getting him on a free.

It is no secret that Arsene Wenger openly chased the tall striker all summer and indirectly pressured him into rejecting contracts offered by Bordeaux in favor of a move to England. 

If this signing is true, Arsenal will need to sell Vela, Eduardo or Nicklas Bendtner. Although Bendtner has silenced all critics with scintillating displays the past few weeks.

Arsenal fans brace yourselves, with Arsenal's recent injury records there can never be too many players. 

He (Chamakh) could also prove crucial in the future, as his stamina and durability helped Bordeaux to the title last season and is a winner.

These reports have been off and on for a while although Chamakh is unfazed and still scores in important games for his club Bordeaux this season with a return of four goals in the Champions League. maybe even making Wenger want the striker more. 

Its up to Wenger to confirm or deny the signing of the talented striker.

While on Sky Sports, Chamakh has been quick to dismiss rumors of his move being because of money. Sating he needs a new "experience".

"I just want to discover different football and other fans," the striker said in L'Equipe.

"The time I have spent here (Bordeaux) has been wonderful and I still have other moments to share with the group."

He added: "I want to give my best before leaving for new horizons. I will not give up trying.

"My club and town will remain Bordeaux for ever. But I want to discover a different league, a different culture."

Its up to Wenger to confirm or deny the signing of the talented striker.
