Lebrons New Number For Real Or A Fluke ?
(Please Show Some Consideration For Me I'm New To This)
Everyone knows that Michael Jordan is without a doubt the best player that ever played the game of basketball(In the NBA that is). And has been described by some people as a basketball virtuoso. His hard work and dedication to the game led him to win 6 rings with the Chicago bulls and came back to have a all-star year after coming out of retirement for the second time. He wears the number 23 in honor of his brother that he always wanted to play like, who wore the number 45. Jordan said he wanted to be at least as half as good as his brother. I think that Michael Jordan is a bit overrated or thought of too highly by some people.

Take a look at Cleveland Cavaliers star player Lebron James. Who is one of the Millions and Millions of people who wear the number 23. The 6'8 F/G has been wearing that number for who knows how long. He wore the number in high school and the six years that he has been playing in the NBA. Micheal Jordan made his name known years ago. Say about two decades. He never stopped to think about how good Michael Jordan was THEN.
Just about a month ago, I don't know I might be incorrect he made an announcement that he would no longer be wearing the number 23, in honor of the great Michael Jordan. The Akron Hammer (Lebron James) feels that no player should ever wear the number 23, and shouldn't be allowed to wear this number considering how good Michael Jordan was.
Now, the number he is switching to would be number 6. Which is the number he wears in the Olympic games.
No One honorable wore the number 6 right? Wrong! High-Flying Dr.Julius Erving a Philadelphia 76ers icon wore the number, not to mention Bill Russell. Maybe Lebron is saying that those players weren't good enough and it's nothing to put Michael Jordan above the others, and basically ban his number.
Sports analyst Jim Rome said that Lebron wasn't gonna play him and he knew that the number switch was a business decision. And to use Michael Jordan as an excuse was not right. Maybe it was a business decision. Or Maybe he was really showing respect to the basketball Legend Michael Jordan?
