2010 NFL Free Agency: Anquan Boldin Officially Traded to Baltimore Ravens

Kevin RobertsMar 5, 2010

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin has officially been traded to the Baltimore Ravens for conditional third and fourth round picks.

The Ravens wasted no time in working on a contract extension with Boldin, singing the 29-year old receiver to a new deal, although specific details were not immediately known.

The Ravens have been openly in the market for an elite receiver, being rumored to be interested in Terrell Owens, Brandon Marshall, Antonio Bryant, and Boldin.

Boldin finally gets the contract and change of scenery that he's been looking for, and joins a Ravens offense that is arguably one big-name receiver away from being a balanced and unstoppable force.

The Ravens have already signed Donte' Stallworth to a one-year deal, haven't decided on free agent Derrick Mason, and are also interested in bringing on free agent Kevin Walter, formerly of the Houston Texans.

This is a huge move that makes the Ravens even stronger title contenders than they already were, while it allows the Cardinals young receivers, Early Doucet and Steve Breaston, to step up into bigger roles, while also giving them some solid mid-round picks to work with.
