Andrew EwingJan 29, 2010

Sunday's Final is now decided. Roger Federer, 15-time Grand Slam champion, brushed aside Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semifinals Friday to set up what is sure to be a pulsating match against Great Britain's Andy Murray.

Federer turned up the heat on Murray ahead of Sunday's big showdown when interviewed in front of the crowd following Friday's match.

"I think he really needs it more than I do, so I think the pressure's big on him," Federer said.

It will be Murray's second Grand Slam final, having reached the US Open Final in 2008, when he was defeated by none other than Federer. However, Murray actually has the better of Federer in their head-to-head meetings, leading 6-4.

Federer, on the other hand, has the big occasion experience of 21 Grand Slam finals in his illustrious career.

Murray will have to live up to the pressure of becoming Britain's first male Grand Slam singles winner for 74 years. The signs are there that Murray has matured during this tournament, having only dropped one set en route to the final and playing some champagne tennis throughout, particularly against Rafael Nadal

Murray said he's confident he can triumph on Sunday.

"I've played my best tennis so far; I just need to do it in one more match," Murray told BBC 5 live. "I'll give it my best shot."

Murray also looks very relaxed in training, which helps ease any pre-game nerves which may exist.

Federer himself has been playing great tennis, steamrolling his way to the final in a manner that appeared effortless.

The final is sure to be a great match. I hope it will go to the wire in a five-set thriller. For Murray to win, he needs to start well and get a psychological upper hand in the first set. However, Federer appears to back to his very best. His natural ability, finesse, and stamina means it will take a huge effort from Murray to stop the Swiss in winning his 16th Grand Slam title.
