Rangers Suck, Tortoella Sucks. Canes Destroy Rangers! Nothing New!

The Rangers hosted the Carolina Hurricanes tonight and as expected, nothing went right for the blue shirts from the opening face off. Out shot, out checked, out scored and out played was how it went for the first 20 minutes of play. As the Blue Shirts found themselves behind 2-0 after only 3 ½ minutes into the first.

Carolina pressured the Rangers and controlled the puck the whole first period. Patrick Dwyer and Eric Staal scored for the Hurricanes and at not point in time did it look like the mighty Hurricanes were about to let up.

MSG’S Sam Rosen hit the nail on the head when he said the Hurricanes where playing defensively as a team. Every Canes player was hitting anything that moved, and only allowing the Rangers 4 shots on goal.

As I said in previous articles, this is what happens when the Rangers are pressured when they have the puck. The Canes forced turn over, stolen the puck several times and stopped the Rangers in the neutral zone. They also forced costly turnovers in the Rangers zone and really this game should have been 3-0 at the end of the first.

With the recent loses the Rangers have had, one would have expected the Rangers to come out in this game looking to play physical and attacking. But this was not the case. The Rangers have been shutting teams down in the neutral zone, but tonight is was the Canes beating them at their own game.

The Rangers do not look prepared or ready in the opening period. You have to wondering what has been going on during this teams practices and meeting, because if they continue like this, nothing will ever change.

To get a better picture of just how bad this team looked, imagine your self the Rangers and u are an ant hill and The Canes are a steam roller. Well that is what happen. The Canes steam rolled right over them in the first.

But the Rangers woke up in between periods, as I am sure Tortorella gave them a nice tongue lashing. As a minute ½ into the second Ryan Callahan knocks one in cutting the Canes lead to one.

Less then a minute later , the Canes answer as Sergei Samsonov tips one in past Lundqvist giving the Canes a 3-1 lead.

The Rangers so how managed to control the puck for over a minute in the Canes zone but not one shot was ever taken. The Rangers picked up the pace in the second , pressuring the Canes and forcing a penalty. Again on the power play is Michal Rozsival  sends a lazy , slow pass across ice to Del Zotto that gets intercepted by Carolina. Just have to love how Tortorella is supposed to be this great coach and continues to play Rosy. Just Amazing.

For the second game now Eric Christensen is left out of the line up and Ales Kotalik made his return. He played 6 minutes and until I checked the time the players played, I didn’t even know he was there. So much for making a grand appearance by Kotalik.

The best player for the Rangers has been Ryan Callahan. Cally is by far the only Ranger trying to play physical as the rest of the physical players are seeing very little ice time.

Artem Anisimov also looked very good in the second. He has nice size and is pretty quick on the skates. He makes some nice moves and is always creating chances.

The Canes disappointed me in the second. They totally shut the Rangers down in the first and in the second , they were not that physical. I would of liked to see how the Blue Shirts would have responded.

Wow Tort benched Redden for getting cought in the neutral zone when Canes scored the third goal.

Its amazing how Anisimov scores two goals last game, played harder then anyone, and Ales Kotolik is playing more time then him through 2 periods. This is the crap I am talking about with this bum of a coach .

Ales Kotalik who by torts own doing , benched him, playing more time. Come on! I guess the circus is back in town!

At least it is good to see Ryan Callahan staying in front of the net so far in this game. Lets see how long that lasts.

Early in the third Hurricanes pressure the blue shirts and knock in the fourth goal of the night giving them a 3 goal lead.

Rangers had up to this point the only power plays of the game. They went 0-3 and again Rosy on the pp and made another bad pass. Yet Tort would like to know what is wrong with his power play. Amazing!

To be honest with you all , I really don’t care what happens in the rest of this game. The Rangers will not make a come back. Rangers lose again at home , against another struggling team. We ned to schedule teams that are struggling to come play the Rangers. They lose to every team that has problems.

Rangers suck, Tortorella sucks. I'm disgusted , and I don't eVen want to finsh this article.
