Latest Top 25 Basketball Polls Prove To Be Baby Blue Biased
Somebody please explain to me how North Carolina, at 12-6, is still in the top-25 in both the AP and the ESPN/USA Today polls.
This one just completely baffles me.
Honestly, how can anyone justify why UNC is still in the top 25 (while, say, a team like Baylor drops lower or out of the polls)?
Personally, I donāt believe Roy Williamsā Tar Heels are even worthy of getting votes in the top 30 with the amount of talent painted around the globe in NCAA Basketball this year.
Call me crazy, but it appears as though Carolinaās glory years may very well be behind them.
Itās a new year and a new team in Chapel Hill; but itās the ever-present and always-competitive ACC thatās biting the Tar Heelsā tails right now.
When was the last time UNC lost two in a row in the ACC? On top of that, when was the last time ANY team lost three of four yet remained in the top 25?
Before the hate mail starts pouring in, yes,Ā Iām a die-hard Duke and Baylor fan. But itās absolutely absurd that UNC is still in the top 25.
Iām just hoping the baby blue hoops team falls again this week; theyāll be out of the rankings for sure if that can happen!
However, regardless of whatās to come in ACC and NCAA basketball in 2010, this is a sad commentary for the voters of what I thought was a fairly-balanced pair of polls; obviously, I was wrong.
Because these latest polls prove the voting is tarred baby blue, and there are numerous teams that got shafted due to the ridiculous homage being paid to an unworthy Carolina basketball teamā¦
