2010 Top 10 Preseason College Football Rankings
1. Alabama They won all their games in 2009 and will get back, heisman winner, Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, and QB Greg McElroy.
2. Boise State They went 14-0 and beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. They will return all, but one guy from last year's team. Star QB Kellen Moore comes back. They have a chance to show that they're for real when they play Virginia Tech in Landover.
3. Ohio State This is a tough one as a Michigan fan, but they get back Terelle Pryor for his junior season, and Dan Herron is back for his junior season.
4. Florida I know they lost Tebow, but Brantley is a pretty good quarterback. Losing Charlie Strong to Louisville is hard, and nobody knows whats going on in the Urban Meyer situation. They also feature maybe the best recruiting class in the nation.
5. Oregon They return QB Jeremiah Masoli, and RB LaMichael James. They return the whole offensive line and most of the defense.
6. Texas They lose McCoy, but Gilbert played pretty well in the national championship game considering that he was playing the number one team in the nation. They get eight starters back on defense.
7. Virginia Tech Tyrod Taylor is back at QB along with RB Ryan Williams. Their defense will need to be as strong as their offense in order to contend for the national championship.
8. Texas Christian They will have Andy Dalton at the helm of this team. He will be helped out by 16 starters who are returning.
9. Iowa They will return Ricky Stanzi from the orange bowl winning team. They get nine starters returning on defense which was their strength in 2009. They will also host Penn State and Ohio State in 2010.
10. Miami (Florida) They will return Jacory Harris to the team. Miami will return their running backs and wide receivers.
