Give The Winner Of The Fa Cup a Champions Leauge Spot!

The greatest and oldest domestic cup competition is about to start again! But we all know all know whats going to happen, all the big clubs think they are too big for a small trophy like the FA Cup. Well I for one am sick of it, teams like Manchester United, Chelsea and even my beloved Arsenal are all shrugging off the Cup as minor and small (with the exception of Liverpool as they have nothing else to play for).Even T*ttenham are going to field a weaker side than usual so that no injuries are going to happen to their star players.

There once was a time where the Fa Cup was as big as the League championship. That was due to the history and tradition of the trophy. But know a days people don't even have respect for it. Teams at the top wont play a strong side because it would "Ruin our chance of winning the title". Mid table teams wont play they're strongest sides because it would "Damper our chance to make it into the Champions league spot". Also teams at the bottom will do the same so they can "Focus on not getting relegated". Those are all the reasons why the Fa cup not only lost venues,viewers, but they also lost the magic.

But there still is hope for the once beautiful and coveted prize, and a way to do that is to improve the worthiness of the Cup. Things like the winner will get an automatic Champions league spot. If that were too happen, Premier League teams would go outright crazy to get the medals. Even teams in lower league divisions would try extra harder to win the cup. By this dramatic change, we would see the return of the magic that has been missing for a long time.

So to conclude this article, I will have to ask you guys to look at the Fa Cup not only as a consolation prize, but as a cherished trophy that every one should respect and honor (Yes even Arsenal) so that the Cup can once again rule supremacy in ratings. I don't know about you guys, but i know what i will be doing this weekend!
