Brendan Haywood is an active blogger on the Yardbarker network. Over the course of his new media career, his perspectives from politics to pop culture have proven much like his offensive finishes at the basket...

Underdeveloped and disappointing.

His latest foray into editorializing has resulted in yet another bumbling exercise of misunderstanding and restating. This time, it’s on the hot button topic of Tiger Woods and his transgressions.

Haywood invokes the name of Chris Brown and insults jilted women everywhere with this masterpiece , only to be crushed in a response post from fellow Yardbarker and recently-retired WNBA player Chantelle Anderson.

Haywood responds , but does little to substantiate his already-indefensible perspectives. It’s become a theme of his: From his open fear and loathing of homosexuality in pro sports to his hypocritical criticism of LeBron James , no one person has the ability to get an opinion wrong more than he.

So here’s a bit of advice for Haywood: leave the blogging to people who legitimately know how to manufacture and manage controversy. It’s one thing to provocatively construct a debatable opinion. It’s another to be dead wrong and then try to moonwalk your way out of it.

Too many times you’ve come out on the business end of basic fact checking and logic. And unlike your teammate Gilbert Arenas, your blogging hasn’t made you any more appealing as a player , or as a marketable brand.

So maybe you should chill. Or get a ghost writer. Because an inability to put thought to print shouldn’t have to cost you the little bit of image you actually have.
