There's no doubt that Ana Ivanovic is the most attractive female that has ever played tennis, but after losing her number one spot in the summer of 2008 will the Serbian beauty ever regain it back?

Well, there are people who think she will just disappear and stop playing tennis, perhaps start a modelling career or continue with the degree she is currently studying. However, I think different.

Although Ivanovic is currently not ranked in the top 20, she can still be number one or at least get back to the top ten by Wimbledon 2010. Women's tennis still needs someone who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and say this is my game and I will be number one. Women's tennis lacks a Federer.

Ivanovic can be this player. When she won the French Open title in 2008 against Dinara Safina, she became world number one at the age of twenty one, that was a huge amount of pressure to have on her shoulders.

Going into Wimbledon 2008, she struggled with the pressure being knocked out in the thrid round. This year, she looked a better player, attacking the ball, approaching the net and finishing points relatively quickly. However, a thrashing by Venus Williams and a leg injury meant an end to Ivanovic's hopes as she was out in the fourth round.

Further injuries have troubled her for the rest of this year, but she has now stopped playing for the rest of this year in order to get some much needed rest.

This surely means we will see a new, lively and rejuvenated Ana Ivanovic next year and what should be a very good performance in the Australian Open come the start of 2010. Watch this space, Ivanovic will be back and you will know about it.
