This week's Brain Bowl features two large Big 10 schools when Purdue meets Michigan in Ann Arbor. Let's go to the tape:

2009 Record:

Purdue: 3-6

Michigan: 5-4

One year cost of attending:

Purdue: $34,294

Michigan: $44,761

75th Percentile SAT Scores for Incoming Freshmen:

Purdue: Reading 610 , Math 660, Writing 610

Michigan: Reading 690 Math 740 Writing 710

Percent of Applicants Admitted:

Purdue: 72%

Michigan:  42%

Male-to-Female Ratio (New Feature!!)

Purdue: 41% female, 59% male

Michigan: 50% female, 50% male

Enrollment:

Purdue: 41,433

Michigan: 41,042

OK, so maybe it's not Harvard v Yale, but this is the best we could do on an academic off week. Purdue loses on almost every front: easier admittance standards, more guys than gals, worse football team, and is located in West Lafayette, IN. Although the Boilers have played better recently, I like Michigan in this spot -5 at home. Rodriguez really needs a solid win and this looks like a good place.

Overall Brain Bowl Record 2009: 5-4 (vs spread)
