Indoor Soccer's KiXX Form Partnership With Resolution Sports

The Philadelphia KiXX formally announced today that the team has founded a partnership with Resolution Sports, a communication-based sports company. Resolution Sports will manage the overall communications strategy of the two-time indoor soccer champions, with duties ranging from media relations to press-box management.

"The Philadelphia KiXX is very pleased to announce our partnership with Resolution Sports," vice president Darceé Roberts said. "Coming into this season, we wanted to put more focus on our media relations effort, and we feel that this partnership will help us achieve that. We are very excited to be working with Resolution Sports, and we look for great things to happen as a result!"

Resolution Sports president John Archibald worked with the KiXX during its 2005-06 season as a game-day staff member, primarily spending his time within the communication department. He also credits the team with playing a pivotal role in helping him to his next stop as director of communication for the New Jersey Ironmen, an indoor soccer team that played two seasons at Prudential Center in Newark.

"This announcement is one that brings a tremendous amount of excitement with it, both on a personal and professional level," Archibald said. "The Philadelphia KiXX played a major role in my personal development as a sports executive, and I still apply many of those skills I learned while working with them in the past to the development of Resolution Sports today."

The KiXX played its first season in 1996-97 as an expansion franchise, and home attendance has been tops or among the highest of the league in each of its previous 13 seasons.

The team has won a pair of league titles (2002, 2007) and has boasted one of the best goalkeepers to ever play between the indoor pipes in four-time Goalkeeper of the Year Peter Pappas.

Since renowned coach Omid Namazi stepped away from the KiXX in 2002, the team has been led by player/coach Don D'Ambra for the past seven years. The head coach, who also serves as team captain, will take the KiXX into their 14th season of play this year at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University after a long run at the historic Wachovia Spectrum.

The KiXX open their 2009-10 season on Sunday, Nov. 15, with a road contest against La Raza de Monterrey. The team will play their historic first game at the Liacouras Center on Saturday, Jan. 9, when they host the Rockford Rampage at 7:00 p.m. Season and group ticket packages for the KiXX are available now by calling 1-888-888-KiXX.

Resolution Sports was founded last November by Archibald after the concept of establishing a communication-based sports company came into his head on a train ride home from working one evening in late 2008. The foundation of Resolution Sports was created that very night, and Resolution Sports LLC was fully licensed and operational within three weeks.

The company is now building an arsenal of goal-oriented partners in the sports industry such as the Philadelphia KiXX, and the company works directly with those partners in a collective pursuit of achieving personal and organizational goals. In less than a year, Resolution Sports has developed a national presence that originates in the Northeast and stretches as far west as California and all the way to the southern tip of Florida.
