This week's Brain Bowl features two of the nation's most prestigious institutions when Duke meets Virginiain Charlottesville. Let's go to the tape:

2009 Record:

Duke: 4-3

UVA: 3-4

One year cost of attending:

Duke: $50,925

UVA: $40,709

75th Percentile SAT Scores for Incoming Freshmen:

Duke: Reading 750 , Math 790, Writing 780

UVA: Reading 710 Math 730 Writing 720

Percent of Applicants Admitted:

Duke: 23%

UVA:  37%

Male-to-Female Ratio (New Feature!!)

Duke: 49% female, 51% male

UVA: 44% female, 36% male

Enrollment:

Duke: 13,598

UVA: 24,257

Duke has among the absolute highest academic standards in the country,  a better female-to-male ratio and is coming off a big conference win over Maryland. Al Groh's Cavaliers are always unpredictable and crapped the bed last week with a lifeless loss at home against Georgia Tech. I'll take Duke +7.5.

Overall Brain Bowl Record 2009: 4-4 (vs spread)
